Now the free part! What can you offer free ? Offer something free which you have made! Not just copied from somewhere and you start offering! Easiest offering is, learn PHP, mySQL, very easy if you have little computer back ground, make a Wordpress Plugin or Wordpress theme, and offer free!
And if this sounds too difficult for you, choose something related to topic of your blog, for example, if your blog theme is mobile phone, you make a ring tone, offer people to download free!
