4. It may not be over with choosing the topic. You need to research now keywords for using in your blog. Remember, it is not absolutely necessary for starting a blog to research keywords, phrases, but if you want search engines like Google, Yahoo to identify and display your page on its top search page results for your desired keywords in the shortest possible time, then it is must. Whatever subject you choose make sure that you find the subject interesting enough to keep you blogging as you need to be able to maintain regular posts to keep your audience coming back and to build your credibility and followership in the niche (necessary for good organic search results)
