What is footer area ?
Footer area is the bottom area of blog after scrolling down to the last! After footer area, one can not scroll down more! So, footer is the end of the page of a particular blog.

Why footer is important ?
Footer is a area where people do not look for any content, but some useful links within the site or from the blog. And search engines too have become smart to recognize footer area! They can recognize footer area and they also expect “important links”, “relevant links” in that area. 3. Finally the original footer, where you see sitemap, archives, contact, site terms and conditions. These are important links for a user!

So, if you do not have a fat and beautiful footer with important links, popular contents, a short “About Me” page, most probably, you are missing some visitors and few usability points!
