Do you keep watch on your twitter followers ? The number of followers may be increasing, have you noticed, there are followers who have un-followed you ?

It may not make any difference when your new followers outnumber the followers who have un-followed you in twitter. But still, it is a loss. So, one should always keep a watch if many followers are un-following you. Else, they day may not be far, when you would notice, new followers outnumbering ol un-followers.

Here are few things, you should do when you notice old followers un-following you:-

1. Check if you had been sending out too many advertisements. If yes, immediately stop them.

2. Do not follow back immediately after some one follows you. Wait for few days and then follow.

3. Spend time in reading tweets. Then retweet. This helps not only retain your followers, but also increase followers.

4. Tweet regularly. Try to change your tweet style some time. For example, if you tweet many serious stuff, serious links, try a funny one liner.

5. Try avoiding change of image.

6. Retweet popular tweets. Also retweet unpopular but interesting tweet. Try to be the one who popularise one tweet, even though you are not the original tweeter. This not only helps retain followers, but may increase more loyal followers.

7. Avoid using rude words or rude tweet.

8. Make your own opinion in a controversy in a dignified way. This helps you heard in the crowd and helps retain your followers.

9. Spread any freebie that you have found on any website.

10. Try to keep increasing your follower.
