Twitter has been growing tremendously! Number of followers has become a symbol of popularity as well as prestige. More the follower, more prestige! But is having a huge follower helping you make money online ? Or are those huge followers actually converting to your blog traffic ? Most probably not. Here are few things why you may not be having any visible benefit in your blog with huge twitter follower in terms earning from blog:-

1. You will find, many of your followers follow many people. So what your tweet, about your latest post, will get scrolled down very soon. Chances are, your followers will not even notice it.

2. Even though you may be having huge follower, are you connecting them ? Are your followers are interested in your tweets or have they followed you thinking you would follow them back ? These kind of followers outside of your niche, will not help your blog or its earning in any way.

3. Do you know how many are spam users who are following you ? There are many spam twitter users who start following you if you tweet frequently or retweet. One should not expect any benefit of having spam twitter account as followers.

4. Are you communicating with your twitter followers ? It is not easy to reply DMs all the time. Or you may get many advertising DMs (Direct Messages) all the time forcing you to check DM irregularly. This may result in missing important and genuine DMs.

5. Quality is more important than quantity and it is more true in case of twitter followers. Twitter is a community and if one wants to have real interested follower, one must monitor, communicate and connect with followers.

Twitter is great way to publicise your new blog post and bringing some instant visitors to your blog. If some of your loyal readers re-tweet your tweet, than you may expect many visitors. But are they useful visitors who would actually read the article or are you exposing your blog to more spammers ?

So, instead of trying to increase your followers with many tricks, one should focus on building quality followers and useful tweets for them.
