And the secret to losing weight is……
It’s Coffee. Believe it or not but research has proven that coffee helps in burning the brown fat which burns more calories and aids weight loss.
We drink coffee to stay awake at work, study late at night, or to have an energizing start to the day. Caffeine blocks adenosine and increases the firing of neurons and release of neurotransmitters like dopamine and norepinephrine. This is what makes us feel awake and energized after drinking coffee. You can include coffee in your diet chart for weight loss in 7 days. Drinking coffee at night might take all your sleep, but it can help you with the weight loss. Decaf can be consumed for those finding it hard to sleep because of drinking coffee at night.
The brown fat or the brown adipose tissue is activated when a person gets cold. Increasing the activity of brown fat improves blood sugar control and also improves blood lipid levels. When the brown fat burns, the extra fat burns with it, leading to a loss in weight. For a study, researchers used stem cells in the lab to test their theory that caffeine can stimulate brown fat. The findings in the reports show that coffee does make brown fat hotter and has the capability of aiding weight loss. It has still not been exactly clear as to what is behind the fat-burning properties.
Scientists at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign claim that consuming caffeine can limit weight gain and cholesterol production, even for those eating a diet high in fat and sugar, Fox News reported. Researchers in the study fed a group of rats a diet consisting of 40 to 45 percent carbohydrates and 15 percent protein for four weeks. The rats were also given a tea rich in photochemical, flavonoids, and amino acids. The caffeine content varied from 65 to 130 milligrams. The researchers also gave them other sources of caffeine. The rats that consumed caffeine had a significantly lower amount of body fat at the end of the study. The researchers determined that caffeine reduced fat absorption by 22 percent and reduce weight gain by 16 percent.
Ya, ya we get it. We are humans, not rats.
Researchers, however, concluded that drinking four cups of coffee a day keeps the extra fat away. This doesn’t mean you should stop eating a healthy diet and consume coffee all day. It’s still necessary to maintain a proper diet. Plus coffee does have a few disadvantages and overconsumption could cause serious health damage. Coffee can lead to insomnia and restlessness and also it is extremely harmful to pregnant women. The caffeine can harm the fetus leading to pregnancy complications. However drinking 2 to 3 cups of toxin-free, specialty coffee will harm no one, unless that person suffers from cholesterol. It can help you boosting mind and muscles and help with weight loss.
