NEET PG-2023 EXAM PATTERN

The national board of examination NBE has realised the NEET PG-2023 exam pattern along with the information brochure at nbe.edu.in. The exam pattern of NEET PG-2023 mentions the structure, number of NEET PG-2023 questions ,marking scheme duration and other details.

As per the NEET PG-2023 paper pattern, a total of 200 multiple choice questions will be asked in the NEET PG exam. The NEET PG-2023 question paper will be of total 800 marks. For every correct answer ,four marks will be awarded while one mark will be deducted for every wrong attempt.
If NBE had directly released the cut-off date when the information bulletin was released in January 2023, there would have been no issues. How can a candidate who got permission to apply barely 25 days prior to the examination be equal to the candidates who had permission to apply 60 days prior to the examination”, the petitioners argued.
During the hearing on Friday, the bench observed that postponement of the exam will cause to hardship to several students, considering the fact that over 2 lakh candidates have already registered for NEET-PG 2023. The bench also observed that the petitioners were not otherwise eligible to appear for the exam on March 5, 2023, and became eligible only because of the relaxation granted by the NBE. Therefore, can the petitioners now seek to defer the exams, asked the bench.

The bench however sought the response of the NBE and posted the matter today.
NEET PG-2023 exam will be conducted for admission to 13886 master of surgery (MS) ,26699 doctor of medicine (MD) ,and 922 PG diploma seats.
The NEET PG-2023 exam is set to take please on. However, medical student bodies and experts are demanding for the postponement of the exam as the deadline for completing the mandantory medical internship has been extended. As a result approximate 10,000 NEET aspirants will be unable to participate in the medical counseling process, which will be held in July, unless they complete their one year internship.

In addition the NEET PG 2022 special strays round counseling was held on January 10,2023 with resulted in a large number of aspirants were not able to prepare well for the upcoming exam ,which will be held on March 5 2023. On January 24,2023 FAIMA (federation of All India Medical Association)wrote to the union health minister requesting that the exam be postponed stating that
“If the exam is conducted on the official said date, there will be around 10,000 potential eligible MBBS doctors who won’t be able to write the life deciding exam and will be back in the career for around 1 year which will be huge loss to the existing resident doctors work hours, patient load and health care system of the country.”
“Sir, considering the above mentioned facts, FAIMA requests the concern authority to kindly consider the request and do the needful by postponing the exam by 2-3 months and re consideration of eligibility criteria of interns to make them eligible for NEET PG 2023. Anticipating favourable response from your end.”
