If you want to dictate any kind of notes when you are in the middle of something or traveling. This will also help you share verbal notes with colleagues and friends. This gives you the convenience of message recording for far-relatives. Google Play apps that will meet all your needs related to speech-to-text. 

Speech notes:

The first in the list is Speechnotes. The best feature that the app has is arguably the punctuation keyword. Many people find it quite awkward to dictate the punctuation when they speak on Speechnotes. Like, you typically need to say, Hi comma I reached home). The keyboard for punctuation adds on-screen buttons for the commonly used marks. Doing this will allow you to dictate your speech faster and better. It is also come up naturally. You will easily find this on the Google Play store app. Its keywords also include a specific custom key row. By using that you can quickly add all the most used phrases like your name, greeting, and signature. Some other important features for dictation in it include Bluetooth support, offline note-taking, widget in home screen for quick dictation. Through this app, you can do continuous recording without interruption. Like any other dictation app you can take pauses anytime you feel like. You can pause when you are gathering thoughts and till then the app will keep listening to you. Isn’t that interesting?

Voice Notes:

Voice notes approach is to take short and quick notes. While Speechnotes is more geared towards lengthy dictations like essay and lectures. It comes up with two different ways to record notes. Either you can use the speech-to-text through which you can see the transcribed version of notes onscreen. The other form of recording is you can save it and can listen to it any time you feel like. Additionally, the voice note has a reminder feature that allows you to see the time for the reminder feature that we just talked about. With this, you can seta. Time for the reminder and also the type of alert you want to receive. Recurring reminders can also be created. It comes up with very powerful organizational tools. The categories in it are customizable and it includes colored tags. It also can export and import the user’s notes. This android app is worth using and will be helpful in the long run. 

SpeechTexter:

Speech Texter- a speech-to-text is an Android app that works both offline and online. This app uses Google’s backend. For those who want to use it offline, they will have to download some necessary language packs. This can be done by going to Settings then the language and input and then go to keyboards and input methods. After this, you need to go to the virtual keyboard. Once you are there just type on Google voice typing and then select offline speech recognition. While choosing the language to download you will have to tap on All tab and then scroll down to the language you want to choose. Along with the basic dictation and speech-to-text,  you can use SpeechTexter to create SMS messages, tweets, and emails. It boasts a custom dictionary. This will make it much easier to add personal information such as address and phone number.  Don’t you think this would make texting easier?

Voice Text:

The Voice Text comes up with a primary purpose which allows the users to send and receive text messages on voice. This Android app is somewhat easier as compared to the other speech-to-text Android apps on the list. It will not require you to learn any specific voice command. You can simply start talking. It also reads aloud any messages that you receive. It is the most viable alternative to many of the best text-to-speech apps.

Some of its noteworthy features are:

Custom Commands: The app can be programmed the way you want to it.

Widgets: Voice text offers different home screen widgets for easy and quick note-making.

Active Hours: For certain hours of the day, you can disable the automatic text reading during fixed hours of the day.

Driving detection: If this app senses that you are driving, it will read out your message loud.

Having discussed all good things about it now coming to one of its negative impact on the users and that is it needs a full internet connection to work properly.

Google assistant: 

In this list, Google’s assistant deserves to be mentioned. After comparing this to the voice text we can conclude that it doesn’t give pure productivity like the rest listed in this write-up. It somehow fulfills a different niche. It has many such features that you will find useful. It gives a location-based reminder and comes up with an ability to control the smart home devices. But here we are only focusing on its dictation features. In every Android app, Google Assistant can be used without any interruption. It also gives you a verbal reminder that works as powerful voice assistance.

ListNote:

This focuses on keeping down a note and in no time converting them into text. It saves the note automatically and you can refer to it later when you need them. Do not allow the slightly dated user to put you off in any way. This app still receives regular updates including a bunch of amazing features which makes it a deserving Android app on the list. Some of its amazing features include password-protected notes, indexed notes which helps fast searching. Apart from these it also has a customizable category and encrypted notes. This app is free for sure but it has no option for removing the ads.
